What a cookie is
A small file a website saves in your browser. Sites can also use browser storage, which works in a similar way. Here, "cookies" means both.
Cookies the site needs
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Your cookie choice | Remembers whether you allowed analytics | 6 months (also kept in browser storage until you clear it) |
| Visit counting opt-out | Remembers if you switched off cookieless visit counting | Until you clear your browser |
| A basket, once ordering opens | Remembers the kits you've chosen | Until you empty it or clear your browser |
| Cloudflare security (`__cf_bm`) | Helps block bots and attacks | 30 minutes, only if Cloudflare checks your visit |
Analytics cookies (only if you allow them)
| Service | Cookies | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | `_ga`, `_ga_T7V9HK7WVK` | Counts visits and shows which pages are used | Up to 2 years |
| Microsoft Clarity | `_clck`, `_clsk`, `CLID`, `MUID`, `ANONCHK`, `MR`, `SM` | Heatmaps and session replays (clicks, scrolling, mouse movement) | From the end of your visit up to 1 year |
Clarity is set to hide anything typed into forms. We don't use advertising or social media tracking cookies.
Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies and doesn't identify you. You can switch it off in the cookie settings.
